Financials confusion - roll over date
I'm playing a historical league, just finished the 1989 season.
It's the day before the beginning of the "Off season". I was looking at the financials and...it makes no sense to me. In the League Settings>Financials tab where the Average Team Revenue, Average Budget, typical salary, etc are. I noted the current values (which I assumed were for 1989) and expected them to change (to the 1990 values) when the "Offseason" began. I was surprised when they didn't. Playing around to try and understand, I went back to before the "Offseason" and imported the 1990 settings. I then advanced to the "Offseason" and was shocked to see that it appears that the settings reverted back to the 1989 settings instead of keeping the 1990 settings (or advancing to 1991). My questions, 1) do the financial settings roll forward to the next year automatically? 2) if so, when do the financial settings roll forward to the next year? If teams/the league don't get updated financial information (especially revenue, expenses, etc) and player salary expectations don't change prior to the offseason...that makes no sense to me. I suppose it could happen in the pre-season, but that doesn't seem like the correct time |
