Infielder AI question

Hello all,

I am new to the game this year, so I'm sorry if this is just how it is...

Do infielders normally just eat the ground balls and not throw to first even though they have plenty of time to do so? I've got comebackers where the batter is barely out of the box and the pitcher just stands there or solid grounders right to my SS and he just eats it and the hitter gets credit for a hit, and then the computer goes on to hit a homer in the next AB.

Is there a setting somewhere I need to change?

You need to read the play-by-play text, sometimes the graphics don't match exactly what happened.

What you see in the animations is like an artist's representation of what happened. Sometimes the artist is better than others.
