Someone should post a guide

To the most realistic modern day league. I mean which settings do you use to have the most realistic outcomes? That would be useful. C’mon someone has the time and I’m sure many would appreciate. I have picked up some stuff of the board recently, and I think I’ll be using the 40-30-20-10 model for talent evaluation that has been talked about in my upcoming franchise. A guide would be useful.

People could try but there is so much debate about the "best" settings. Some people don't want to see guys in their late 30's still playing and think that the league should be full of young guys making league minimum (those would be the douche real life GMs btw) and some want return of the game before steroids and tv deals killed it.

I’m just looking for something to generate realistic modern day outcomes and rosters

You assume everyone on here wants a modern true to life league. Not everyone does which is why you see so much variety in the type of leagues people have.

You are probably better off just sticking to the default. The only thing I would change is player development to like 1.25. That might make it so a handful of players move up quicker. MLB is getting younger so that is why I like it.

But in reality its not a big difference. It might be as little as 3 players getting the call to the show 1 year early.

I would say the only reasons to change anything is the person is a tinkerer and enjoys messing with the customization option or a player has played so many seasons/universes at default settings they have either grown tired of the defaults or learned enough about what they like/dislike to make some changes.

Does anyone edit ballpark distances/wall heights and auto adjust ballpark factors?

Since players are not neutralized, I set all parks to neutral park factors. I play historical.

I just did a Google search, "OOTP most realistic settings" and a bunch of stuff from old forums, reddit, etc popped up. It may not be from version 21, but I'm sure most of it would still be applicable.
