2020 MLB rosters - injuries, "live start"?
My apologies if already discussed, but couldn't find it.
Appears to me OOTP 21 shipped with rosters with player's injuries based on news from March 20th (release date) or before. Anything that happened after that (say, Noah Syndergaard's UCL just days later, or Tray Mancini's unfortunate update that he's out for 2020 no matter what) isn't in the game if you're playing with 2020 MLB players. Is that right? Or would patches alter this? Or "Live Start"? Thanks; I'm running our fantasy baseball league as an OOTP season this year since there's no real baseball, and wondering what I should have the player pool to be... |

Not entirely correct. Syndergaard's injury was added in a patch, as was extending Chris Sale's injury to cover a full season (initially, it was a relatively short-term injury). That's just off the top of my head; Mancini's "update" is not in.

Ordinarily, patches do not update rosters, aside from fine-tuning adjustments. This is a unique year. |

I am the manager and GM of the Mets in my league. Syndergard pitched a gem in my 1st. game ever. He won the game and THEN went to season ending injury.
So realistic. I am addicted to this sim. |
