36 game hit streak
I just need a second to vent. In my current league in 2082, I had a player with a 36 game hit streak(the current record in my league is 45). With his team down 11-2 in the 9th inning, and being 0-3 on the day, he was subbed out for a pinch hitter. His streak is over.
He's not even on my team, but I have been following every game of his once his streak started reaching the newspaper. It was very disappointing to see it end in the way it did. Ugghh...no questions or anything here. Just irritated and wanted to share. |

Yes, that is a tough way to end a streak.

Nah the true pain will happen after when you see he rattled off a 21 game hit streak starting the next day.

Well 0-3 generally means DFA in my books, so... he's lucky he just got subbed.

On a more serious note, though - Ever notice how when you realize one of your players is on a long hit streak, suddenly the team W's and L's become secondary to watching every at-bat by the streaky guy? Same goes for opponents - tune in just to see how the hit streak went. "Hahaha they just beat us out of the playoffs? Don't care. Howz the streak?"
I don't even use the streaky guys as pinch hitters late in crucial games when they are having a scheduled day off. Because I'm not too sure how 0-1 pinch-hitting duties count towards a streak. Last edited by Gruber_Tagged_Him; 04-27-2020 at 08:03 PM. |

What bugged me so much about this one is that the guy on the streak is a legit .330+ lifetime hitter. High contact/low discipline, so he would have been up there swinging away before he was pinch hit for. It was painful. He'll likely never get another shot. |
