Didn't receive full amount for card sold on AH

Edit: Never mind, all is right in the world. I briefly forgot about the 10% cut.

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue. Last night I was lucky enough to pull one the new NEG stars, Peak Leon Day. I put him on the AH for a starting bid of 35k and Buy Now of 45k. I check this morning to see if he sold and I have 41k points, as well I apparently got 2k for a triple play. Looking at my auction history I sold Leon Day for the sell now of 45k and the 24hr bid time wouldn't be over otherwise. How did I only receive ~39k for a buy now of 45k? I've never bid on the AH, as this is my pack only team, so I didn't have any bids in or anything.

The house takes a 10% cut. If you sell a card for 45,000 you receive 90% of that (40,500).

This is painfully obvious. I really need to have my coffee before logging in.

Westheim, I've got a pretty good Mets 1B, 1990 snapshot Dave Magadan 80. Good 1B and very good OBP so far, might be useful for your Mets team?

I questioned why there is a 10% fee once and was told 'because'.

I still don't understand it, sorry for your loss.

I could be wrong but.....

There are people who could better answer but think it slows inflation in the market economy. You'd have people constantly buying cards and selling for slightly more constantly creeping price upwards. By the sellers playing a 10% fee, you only flip cards that you get for significantly lower than they can fetch.

It's not specifically to curtail flipping, just that in general you need sufficient point sinks in every game like this or else the inflation would get out of control since PP are never leaving the economy

In theory they could raise or lower the tax to respond to certain market conditions, too.
