Expanded on field batter and pitcher info boxes

First thing I should clarify is that I play 2D Classic, so this post is in regards to the display for that aspect of the game.

I use the expanded info box that shows last years stats, career stats etc. What I can't understand is why after all these years, we don't have an option to make these info boxes wider so the graphics displaying a players career numbers don't end up being unreadable for players with long careers. Drives me nuts.

I also think it would be nice if we the user could decide what these info boxes display. For example, I play mostly historical, but I really have little interest in having a players real life stats shown on his info box. I would much rather have the players current season stats displayed. To know how many walks, strikeouts or stolen bases a player has for the current season I have to go looking for it. Same goes for a pitchers saves. I would love to get rid of the real stats line and replace it with current year. If that can't be done, I would love to get rid of the last year line and replace it with current season.

But, most of all, I don't want to look at a pitcher with 15+ years in the league and see his career walks and strikeut appear as 4952505

I will second that idea.

I play using full modern 3D and I have the same question about why we have to have "real life" stats included in those info boxes.

I started my historical world in 1987 and I am now in June of 1989, but I let the OOTP engine take over development and or changes so any real life stats will have nothing to compare against since players have been evolving on their own for two plus years now in my world. I would be fine with your suggestions about putting current year stats on that line, or if we could somehow customize those player info boxes completely.

Minor issues to be sure and I am in baseball heaven rolling through my world day by day so I have no issues / complaints at all.... but it does kind of seem odd to see the real life stats line in my historical career game.... I guess if you were simply replaying one year it could be useful, but for those of us who start a historical game and then play out into our own version of reality into the future it seems like a moot point to see historical numbers in the mix.

Love the game - love the 3D!

Take a look at the BB and K columns on Rube Waddell's info box. 6992074 is how it's displayed. Look at the space between the K column and the ERA column. You could move the 2074 to the right one space and it would say 699 2074 and it would still leave the proper space between the ERA column.,Name: damages_to_her_home_1908-07-30_20-24-19.jpg

I just wish I had super eyes, because if you change the font size to small the info boxes are displayed in perfect fashion with no columns running into the other. But, my eyes can't handle reading things that small anymore.

So you don't wear eyeglasses?

Oh I do, but the small font strains the eyes even with glasses. Maybe an option to only use the small font for the player info boxes is the answer.
