Looking for schedules
Hello, all--
So I goofed when switching from OOTP20 to 21, mostly in deleting things from 20 that I shouldn't have deleted. I'm doing a replay from 1871 and have arrived at the American Association years. I had as-played schedules for the 1882-1891 AA in 20, but I seem to have dumped them. Anybody know where I can find these? I'm aware of the Updated Schedule thread, and located the Union Assocation (which I may or may not use) and the Player's League. But I'm not seeing the 19th Century AA schedules that I used in 20. Any help would be most appreciated. Hope everybody is staying safe. |

Do you want the "as-played" schedules, the official schedules, or both?

I think I'm mostly looking for as-played schedules, especially in years like 1884, 1890, and 1891 when the AA had an odd number of teams due to some clubs folding and other taking their places late in the season. |

Attached is a zip file containing the AA schedules (as-scheduled and as-played) that came with OOTP v.10. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of these schedules or for their compatibility with the current version of OOTP, although I took a quick glance at a few of them and they seem to be in the correct format.

Obviously, these being pre-OOTP 13 means time zone adjustments may need to be made.

That doesn't mean the starting times are entirely unproblematic. Games in that era wouldn't have started as early as 1:05 p.m. People were still working at that time. Instead, games would typically start at 3:00 or later. And nobody started anything at five minutes after the hour. That only became a thing when teams changed their start times to accommodate television broadcasts. |
