Want to hire a former player as a coach

I have a player that I really want to hire as a coach. but for some reason he is listed still on the team under IR with 6 days to go. (All season long)

How do I move him into coaching . ?

Can one of the Admins help me please.
Why is a player. who retired 8 season ago still listed on the roster. and why cant I make him a caoch.
He is even in the Hall of Fame but listed as a player on the team

Can you edit him & set his league and team to "none", or whatever the option is?

Cant do a thing with him except Delete/unretire/Clone/ remove from HOF.. Just noticed. Dont want him as a coach as he is 76 years old still on the roster. how screwed is that

Also the strange thing is . His contract is listed as signed thru 2054.
He last played in 2062
The current season is 2080.
yet he is still listed as a player on IR for the team

As you can see on the left he is listed on the IR.
on the Right is his age and when he was elected to the HoF
He has been on list list for 3 seasons. any ideas Admins ?

How about trying to un-retire him, then play 6 days of the league. See if he comes off the IL. Then retire him & turn him into a coach.
