Majors Quickstart - Settings Questions

1) do you all play with inflation on? If so, do you set each league differently or to the same amount? I was thinking about setting MLB to 0-2% but im clueless about the other leagues.

2) Disable automatic creation of free agents.... The default is unchecked, but should I check it? I dont want any free agents created, I want all players to be either real or from drafts/scouting discoveries.

3) Whats the best value to set for cash maximum for MLB?

4) Any other adjustments you make for foreign/independent leagues?

For me personally:

1. I leave this at default - I will take a closer look at it though, I honestly am not sure how it works. Is default set to 0%? I think I would set them all to the same, but again, Ill have to look into this. Be interested to see what others say.

2. Yes, I disable it for all of the different types. Amateur Free Agents, International Free Agents. I hate it when fake ones appear at top of FA pool, with no history or background.

3. I leave this default. Find it works well. You have Owners setting budgets selected?

4. Not really, I find them set up really well with default now-a-days.

Inflation I can honestly go either way on. On one hand i want inflation because I want financials to follow the path its been on for its entire history. But on the other hand I dont want it getting to a point where teams have billion dollar payrolls... Maybe -1%-2% would be better so that it will most likely continue to rise, but it's a much flatter rise.

So just check that box for every league i assume?

Yes, owners set budgets.

Yes, owners set budgets.

I am going with 2 percent inflation across the board. I am using two percent and not a random number. (e.g. between 1-4%) because I don't want the MLB with one number, the *** with another, one Indy league with 1 percent one year, then 3, while another indy league was 3 percent the last three years)

To me, this is a conservative number, and it keeps all the leagues on the same financial footing, while injecting a certain degree of realism.
