Fictional Leagues/Teams - Real Players
I have enjoyed playing various computer baseball simulations for nearly 40 years now, including OOTP for the past 7 or so, and my passion is to create fictional teams and leagues using real players and stats. I started with teams featuring all rookies and pitting them against each other. ie... a team made up of all rookies from the AL in 1978 agaist a team of all rookies from the AL in 2008. I defined my rookies as 50 IP for a pitcher and 100 AB's for batters and have found that I was able to fill complete teams, with every position, for just about every year from 1947 to 2019. I also have a Hall of Fame league of 16 teams featuring only HOF players who played for those teams. (That's why there are only 16 teams and the Tigers, for example, only have a handful of pitchers). My latest passion has been teams made up of players with the same last name, spelling not important. (ie... Reed and Reid on the same team.) I now have 203 name team with at least 23 players each. I decided to use the minor league DB to complete most of those teams but only use players who made it to at least AA. Anyway, I thought I might offer to share these teams with anybody who might want to play with them and was curious if anybody else created some fun, fictional teams and/or leagues using real players. Maybe from the same cities or states... or maybe schools? Again, just curiuos and thought I would offer to share the team files through Google Drive.
