Injured player plays out game
I haven't experienced most or many of the bugs / peculiarities of mention, but this one stood out pretty plainly so wanted to make sure I included it for review. Fluke? Hope so. Btw, fictional solo league for those keeping notes.
4th inning and my opponent's third basemen doubles and is apparently hurt on the play -- pbp gives the "looks like they'll have to take him out" --- and the game goes to MY lineup as if there's a change "I" am supposed to make. I switch over to the other team's lineup and see that the third basemen is still on 2B (not uncommon on injuries for the substitution to take place when the next play button clicks), click on the player to make sure he is in fact injured and yes - a torn groin muscle with a 7 week out indicated. Go back, click to continue play. He stays at 2B. Not only does he eventually score, but plays out the next 5 innings to complete the game! After the game he show on their disabled list, but this guy must have been a trooper to play the hot corner with pains near his own hot corner for that long, eh? Ah well..... funny things happen. |

I've experienced this problem too. It was the computer's pitcher. He got hurt on the last out of an inning. The computer said they were taking him out. He came back to pitch at least one other inning. After the game he was disabled.
I also had a situation where I had a player (Erubiel Durazo) get hurt on an off day. There was no email about a bar fight, etc. No email at all. I just noticed on the roster he was out 6 weeks with a broken foot. No record in the injury menu of how he got hurt. Further, he's not been healing well. Every week, the doctor says it will take longer. |
