Problem transferring league

Hello. I run an online leauge. We have done over 20 seasons so far, using OOTP4 up until 3 seasons ago when we switched to OOTP5. We just ran into a problem that we have never seen before. We finished a season, then i advanced to the offseason. I zipped the league folder and sent it to one of the owner's via AOL IM. He unzipped the folder and placed it in his OOTP5 folder, just like he has always done. Yet this time, he said when he tried to open up the league, he got a message saying something like "invalid player file".

I re zipped the folder again, and resent it. He gets the same thing. He said when he looks at the files in the zipped folder, they look okay, but after he copies them to the OOTP5 folder, the files (player DAT, retired DAT, etc.) are all messed up.

Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

He is unzipping the file and not directly copying them from the zip right?

He is the only GM that gets transferred the file. There are only 4 owners in our league including myself. 3 of us all live together in an apartment (we're in college). He's the only one who doesn't live with me, so he's the only one who I have to send the league folder.

I am not sure if he is unzipping the file or directly copying them. I'll ask him, but he said he is doing the same thing that has worked for us for the past 20+ seasons.

Thanks.

Sounds like he is not "overwriting" the old league or possibly not using "the original path, etc" when unzipping the league.
