Yeah this game sounds awesome, might even be better than OOTP5.

It's surprising how it's several months from it's release (assuming it does in fact come out this summer) and there is still very little activity on this board ..

I wish people would start suggesting stuff and discussing the game already!

its hard to discuss anything when, we know VERY little about what the game is going to focus on. Details about this game have been very hush hush, probably because they don't know what they are going to focus on yet. When details about the game become available, i'm sure there will be a large increase of activity on this board. So be patient. I know there are several people, me included looking forward to this game and checking every day for some hint of progress.

I know i was extremly excited about this game coming out. Then about a month or two ago I read that the game was going to be mainly focused on the minors and getting to the big leagues, not the bigs themselves. Since then I really havent been paying that much attention to the board.

Braindead,

I think that the idea of trying to get to the Majors from the minors would be much better, and realistic, than just starting off in the minors.

Gotta agree with you there. I was a bit confused when that was mentioned, since I thought ITPB was going in a different direction. I'd rather the game be focused on the quest from majors to minors, instead of focusing just/mostly on the minors.

Where did you guys hear this??

It doesn't seem to make sense that the game would be really focused on anything .. I mean, does the game just end when you reach the majors?? Or how does that work?

I know there is to be connectivity with OOTP 5, so do you import the players into your league and see how they develop??

Only time will tell I guess.. Should be a great game either way...

This was actually the first game we finished and was completed in 1980(when Markus was 3), we've just be holding on to it trying to drive our customers crazy.

Note....there is in fact NO TRUTH contained in the above statement. But, we will keep you updated with development info as it becomes available.

I like the fact that the game starts in the minors and you try to make it up, but I am not sure if I like the direction this looks like it is going.

Do you have what it takes to become one of the game's all-time greats? Will your "Rookie Card" be worth hundreds of dollars when you retire, or will it be a substitute drink coaster? Will you get your choice of the top national ad opportunities once you make it to "The Show," or will be you be the spokesperson for Al's Used Car Heaven?
This sounded great to me, but this does not make me as sure:

It is a minor league game, not major league.

The major emphasis of the game is "making it" to the majors, which is primarily "minor leagues". I honestly don't know what % of the game will be minor or major at this point.

I am sure that once more details are released I will be more certain about this game, but for now I am not sure.

I really like the idea that you have to start in the minors and work your way up, but at the same time that should only take your player up until he's in his mid 20's at most. If that is where the game starts to tail off I will be very disappointed.

Yes... major leagues would be good as well ......

Since just making the majors doesn't really determine how you are going to be as a career ballplayer...
