Finding a Team to Trade With
I wondered how everyone decides on a team to trade with (apart from using the shop around option)? Is there an in-game report I can run that will give me a clue as to what teams might be interested in my player and have a player I want in return? Thanks

You could look at positional rankings and see what teams are weakest in what you are selling.

You can 'shop around' any player player and see what teams offer, then click the 'trade' buttons and you'll see the strength / weakness areas for both your team and the team you're discussing the trade with, indicated by different colors for each position (both for prospects as well as mlb level).
ooops, looks like you already found this

Trading can be finicky, I believe. Here is a made-up example I recently experienced:
The Red Sox contacted me hoping to trade Jim Rice for Don Mattingly. It was a trade I was interested in. I don't know what I did but I hit something that moved me off of the screen where the trade was being offered. I wanted to do the deal, so I immediately contact the Red Sox offering Don Mattingly for Jim Rice and the Red Sox are like, "Are you trying to insult me. Never gonna happen, punk." ![]() I thought it was weird since they just literally offered me the same deal on the same day. I can't remember who the players were, but I remember it would have been a really good trade, for both teams. |
