Do you ever promote your minor league managers if they are doing well to the Major League team or do you go straight for someone with experience?

In previous versions, I did. In XX though, I haven't had a minor league coach that was a) good enough to warrant a promotion, or b) stuck around long enough to usurp the current coach. To be honest, I think I would've let Joe Espada keep running the team, if I hadn't got bored with the whole thing (13 seasons/11 playoff appearances/ 10 as NL East division winners/ 5 world series champions). He just wouldn't retire.

how did you base how good a coach to warrant a promotion? their overall record or their attributes?

Yes.

Too bad the AI isn't capable of staff promotions within the minor league system, or from minors to majors. Would be great to see a managers career progress through the years.

This would be a great feature. Anything that would add a little more immersion would be welcomed.
