Phantom players

Started a 2015-2016 historical game unemployed.

Just going through the rosters I've already found that each of the Ducks and Coyotes are carrying 3 goalies, with the third goalie being on the contract list, and via the editor appear to be on the major club, but they do not show up on the roster page. They are not injured.

Ducks = Khudoban
Coyotes = Mike Smith

Moving them to other teams with the editor leaves them also invisible on their new team other than the contract page.

Odd, they're everywhere except the roster page, and if I take over their team, I've got no ability to e.g. send them to the farm team. I don't see any obvious issues with their data that could cause it. We're going to have to investigate a little further.

Jonas Hillier on the Flames as well.

I don't think it's just goalies. Will find you some position players tomorrow.

I'm 90% sure I saw this in FHM5 as well.

Weird thought... could they be sitting on the reserve list? It's grayed out with the Farm teams now available, but could there be lingering code that is sending them to a kind of limbo?

Not sure if this is helpful but phantom players also show up on the depth chart.

Turns out this is just the AI adjusting its rosters at the start of the game - the players are on waivers and not assigned to a team, they'll appear on the farm team the next day assuming they clear waivers.
