perfect score without winning world series?
I've had higher scores that weren't perfect and I would have thought you'd have to win the series? But hey...

for years I thought 1312 was the highest one could go but amazingly on a team that exceeded its talent level and broke 1500

I mean, if the Baltimore Orioles made the playoffs this year in real life, would the management team there not deserve a perfect score?

Maybe there isn't a perfect score written in stone. What would happen if you got the "perfect score" then had a better season the next year?
I'll bet the score is a complicated formula including, as Matt alluded to, how much better a team plays than it was expected to play. If I end up winning 100 games that is normally a good year, but not necessarily if I was expected to win 120. |

Considering it's out of 1,000, I think perfect is subjective.
