It is NOT compatible with the Origin or Mac OSX AppStore version!

Hi!

Yesterday's public beta apparently sometimes crashed / hung while playing games in 3D, so here is a new build that fixes this, version 20.5.52. If this works fine we'll release it officially on Monday. Have a nice weekend

We have tested this build for 24 hours and did not find any issues, however use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta.

Note: This version is compatible with previous builds in online leagues.

Changelist (20.5.52):
- Fixed crash when players with forced lineup spots sub into games sometimes
- Fixed issue where online league commish cannot force deals with AI teams
- Fixed historical league issue where reimporting a retired player would create new stats that didn't exist in the world
- Fixed defensive substitution logic (subs were coming in too early/too large lead)
- Fixed crash on team home page generating BB cards
- Fixed error with ghost players not deleting
- Added "Remove All" option on manual all-stars page
- Fixed manual awards page removing all copies of a player when removing from one award
- Fixed invalid warning of player eligible to return from DL during minor league playoffs/player unable to be activated from DL after MiLB playoffs
- If all leagues have an age limit, any player older than the oldest league will retire
- Fixed some association draft order issues
- PT: Set limit of 48 hours for custom auction length
- PT: Added filter "All Non-Live Cards" to Auction House
- Several other small bug fixes

How to access the beta on Steam:

Quit OOTP 20 if it's running.
Open Steam client -> Library
Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 20
Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code / password: ootp20pubbeta
Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

!!!Attention!!! Because we have switched our webshop last week, please make sure that you download the correct setup file. If you bought prior to June 20, you most likely bought in the eSellerate store, after that date in the FastSpring store!

Here's a PC installer (eSellerate) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

To say the least. The icons for my two favorite games are next to each other on my browser's task bar, and clicking one icon and then the other is like going from day to night, night to day. One is lively, involved, and responsive and the other is like a damned ghost town with the ghosts making just enough appearances from time to time to show that they have not left town altogether.

Downloaded the patch today and autoplayed a full season- no crashes, everything smooth. All of the previous issues with system memory, file sizes, autoplay crashes, "Jim Unknowns", etc. gone.

Thanks for the effort- nice to have the game back up and playable!

Never seen this before now, but I'm in spring training 2020 and the game won't allow me to option basically ANY players on my spring training roster, including 2019 draft picks, despite:
1) My save does not allow MLB contracts for draft picks
2) The players still have options

When I go into commish mode, they all have MLB contracts. But I did not do this and there is no way it happened without my knowing. For example, my 34th round pick from 2019 cannot be optioned because he has an MLB contract. There is no reason this should be the case. It seems that anyone not previously on the 40 that was invited to spring training has been converted to an MLB contract.
