Best Diamond Relief Pitchers?

Hi all,

I am working on improving my bullpen and am looking for suggestions on who to buy.

My current setup is:

CLOSER - 96 Jonathan Papelbon

SETUP - 91 JJ Putz
SETUP - 92 Brendan Donnelly

MIDDLE RELIEF - 93 Will Smith
MIDDLE RELIEF - 92 Carlos Marmol
MIDDLE RELIEF/LEFTY SPECIALIST - 94 Fernando Valenzuela

LONG RELIEF - 94 Jose Fernandez

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm looking for diamond relievers in the 20k range. I am looking at Joe Nathan as a potential upgrade right now.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you have

Also, for Relievers in the 90's, your Papelbon is hard to beat and Joe Nathan is a card I'm happy with on my 2nd team

I love Papelbon as a closer. Wondering if its worth saving up to 30ish thousand PP to go after Heath Bell (97) as a setup or if the Joe Nathan will suffice.

I'm also trying to decide if I should be looking for another lefty reliever as my bullpen is pretty RHP heavy.

That's a super nice card! What does it usually go for?

It's around 60k. As others said the Papelbon is a very nice card and usually does well for me in perfect. I would also look at another lefty. The live Chapman card isn't horrible if you can stomach the ratings swing.

Ive had some success with Brian Wilson and Andrew Miller. Last I saw Miller was the only one in your range though.

Towards the lower end my Tigers only team both Willie Hernandez and John Hiller have performed well

not a diamond but Lee smith (88) is a great closer/relief pitcher...He play well in perfect league too, not optimal in PL but he can play at this level...he dominate for my team in the diamond league level.

I actually sold my Chapman to go after a better RP! But I definitely agree with you that I should look into adding another lefty.

Funny enough, the first week the game was out, I got outbid at the last second of an auction for Andrew Miller (99) that ended up finishing for 8000. I've kept my eyes peeled ever since.

Thanks again for your suggestions!
