Choosing the DH rule

I've created my fictional league. It has a mixture of NL and AL teams, and the league is set in an era that is post 1973. I don't recall being offered the choice of DH or no DH. At what point in this process do you determine whether the league has the DH or not?

I believe in the "League Settings" there is a box to check for DH
