GMC Has a Team Available
I have an opening in the GMC (Global Managers Challange), on of the leagues I run. Its a 1990s league, staffed by some of the best and craftiest owners around. As such, the GMC enjoys a reputation as one of the better leagues. Eight different teams have won the Championship in the ten seasons of play so far.
The team available is the San Juan Beachcombers . Historically, the San Juan team has been one of the strongest, but always one step away from glory, finishing in 2nd place in the International League West for 6 straight seasons. They have some damn fine players like Pat Hentgen, Rafael Palmeiro, Ken Dixon, David Wells, etc., and they could go either way in terms of development: either acquire the one or two cogs necessary to put them over the top or go the rebuilding mode and reload the gun. I think the latter is a hell of a lot better choice than the former, so the ideal owner is one who is in for the long haul, interested in spending the time to mould the team to his liking and get juiced from the fact that he took a so-so team and built it into a championship team. San Juan Historical Link If anyone is interested please check out the league site, the rules, and then get back to me.
