Attendence
So curious ?
What determines attendance for games? Is it how well the team is doing, some kind of setting, or what? |

first, you have a baseline. things will fluctuate around that. League settings -< Finances? it's around there.
then, you have per team variables -- fan interest/loyaylty - one or both.. it's the one that moves more easily, i believe, but the other obviously is an indirect effect too, and ticket prices. even your record as the season progresses will influence attendance. win more and you can raise ticket prices while maintaining preferred attendance levels. e.g. if still as it was a couple years ago, a 20-game win streak early in the year vs one late in the year is more beneficial as far as gate revenue -- given same exact w/l record at end of year. you can raise tickets more based on full season results, because it will affect more games after that point than if you have a late-season streak. now, it may or may not allow for greater incremental increases later in year, i don't know, but overall revenue is less for certain. as of ootp18 at the least, and many years before that too. obviously, if you don't increase ticket price as you go, attendance can't go over ~max. not taking advantage of it is a bad idea. somtimes you can see it dip even though you are maintaining win% or increasing it... this is a sign to up the prices. if it occurs after a losing streak, you should dip prices slightly to maintain current attendance levels. (if that is your goal... the dynamics are explained, and you can do as you wish with them, if not what i suggest) raising tickets throughout year with a successful team will increase revenue in a very noticeable way. if you can afford another superstar, it's worth it right? most teams will be able to increase revenue 'that' much at least.
