Why I Love OOTP

I always check on the opposing pitcher before each game. I see this guy is 4-0 on the season and I'm thinking boy, we are going to struggle. Then I look a little closer and I see that he hasn't won a start in his last 5. Further still, he recently lost a start in triple A, getting hammered in the process... rehab? Sure enough, checking his injury history he was out 5 weeks with an oblique strain and only recently returned. Going by his post-injury numbers he's clearly still on the mend. Maybe we have a chance against him in this one after all

Seriously, how cool is this game?

Actually, no

Took him deep one time and eventually he left the game with a 4-2 lead. However, in a crazy 9th we managed to score 6 runs and the bullpen just about got us over the line. Bases loaded, 2-outs, flyball to left ended it. Final score 8-5. Too real sometimes. Nails shredded

I can't get over the complexity and accuracy of the game, year after year. Nothing even comes close to matching it and nothing ever will.

All the more evidence that a pitcher's win-loss record doesn't matter all that much, especially for a starting pitcher.
