Suggestion for a tweak to two-ways
Pitcher-catchers. I have to think that shouldn't happen. I just can't imagine a team that would put that sort of regular stress on any valuable player's body. It'd be a race to see if his elbow, shoulder, or knees exploded first.
If that's easily tweakable for a patch, I really believe it should go the way of lefty Cs back in the day. If not, it can become a suggestion for the next version.

Have you tested to see if it is viable to try and do both? It might make sense for there to be a number of catchers who can pitch and vice versa in the draft but have it such that any attempt to develop both for very long greatly increases the chances to injuries. I'm not sure what the numbers look like in college but I surely remember a large number of catchers in high school that also pitched, at least back when I was growing up.

While yeah, the training and strain would be really hard, though logistically, it might actually be the best two-way combo. Catchers only play about 4-5 days a week right now, which means you're really not sacrificing any offense to take 3 days off a week to get set for pitching. And catchers naturally tend to have better arms, so would be more likely to pitch.
Obviously the strain of catching, there's a reason why they take a couple days off, so I would guess that trying to throw 100 pitches during their off-days would be killer. And any team who tried would obviously need to keep a 3rd catcher around, since you can't rely on him to come in on off-days. |

And on the other side, a pitcher on his knees making hard throws to second and third on his off days wouldn't be the greatest idea, either.
