Lineup starts

I know their is a setting for goalie starts, is their a way
to have players start a number of games in a season

I am replaying a past season ( 1977)

Can I set players to play a % of games for that season

No, the only way I can think of to control the GP that precisely would be to turn injuries off and manually control each team (using multiplayer mode to create one GM/Coach for each) and set the lineups yourself, maybe using the boxscores at https://www.nhl.com/schedule/1977-10-12 to set them. I'd like to get an OOTP-style historical game-by-game lineup option in at some point, but that's likely a few years off.
