Help with managing minor league team
Long time OOTP player here. My almost exclusive game preference is a historical/single year replay. For the first time however, I am experimenting with managing a minor league team instead of the major league affiliate. When I examined my minor league team roster for the first time, I discovered many players missing. Most were found as free agents. How do I add these players to my minor league team roster? I can't can sign them directly since I am the manager of the minor league team. The system says only the gm of the major league affiliate can sign free agents, and that's the AI of course. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Not the greatest solution, but create a new human manager with commissioner rights and use him only to correct these types of things.

yeah, at least you are going to learn to be creative with what the AI gives you. good experience for catastrophic injuries or weird contexts that arise in a mlb season, i guess.
commissioner mode will allow you to add any players you want, for that matter. try the "act as" feature. you won't have to create a second human player. you need comissioner mode on for that, i beleive.. makes sense anyway. |
