The TSTBL's 5th season is winding down with the 2006 World Series taking place Sunday evening. We're currently using OOTP4, but as of Monday we'll be converting to OOTP5.

We initiated a roll-call of owners yesterday and 15 of 20 owners have already confirmed their place for 2007, and the Edmonton Trappers are the only known vacancy.

We're a pretty fast-paced league, simming three times a week (Tue, Thur and Sun), and 15 days per sim. All of our sims are done live on AIM and in 5 years a sim has never been missed. Our GM's are active, submitting rosters at a rate of 83.1% last season.

Edmonton (75-87) finished 2nd in the Western League North last season, but with a little work could easily be at .500+ next season (Under new ownership the Louisville Bats went from a league-record 111 losses in 2004 to a second-place finish at 88-74 this past season, 2006).

Edmonton's staff features 4 starters who won ten or more games last season: Joel Pineiro (13-6, 4.39), Kerry Geiser(10-12, 4.94), Vicente Padilla (13-13, 5.78) and Brian Lawrence (11-14, 5.07). Dave Coggin (9-11, 3.65) also figures heavily into the Trappers' future. Down on the farm, Thomas Diaz, Scott Kazmir, Tojiro Tokuma and Patrick Uriarte all show promise of future stardom.

Offensively, Hee Seop Choi (.272-23-101), Freddy Bynum (.286-7-46, 38SB), Cesar Crespo (.297-10-33, 48SB), Milton Bradley (.317-17-90), Tim Raines, Jr. (.261-12-75, 67SB) and Grady Sizemore (.307-12-93, 42SB) are all returning in 2007, while highly-touted prospects Alonso Erazo (.256-6-45), Scott Hamer and Michael Rascon all figure to vie for considerable playing time next season.
