New Live Services Feature

Just to clarify, the live services feature which provides individual player rating updates based on their real life performance, and team transactions only effects the beginning of your OOTP season correct?

In other words, the "live updates" only apply to the beginning of your season?

I do believe they apply to whenever you chose during the season. Another words if you chose to use them on May 23rd then that is the stats/ratings that the players will have (as of that date).

When creating a new game, you have the full flexibility to choose all the various options.

After a game has started, you can also update player ratings throughout the season too if you want.

I assume we will have the live start feature updated with all active rosters on opening day with accurate injuries, etc.?

The regular standard game without the live services will more or less be continually updated to be as close as possible to opening day rosters and such.

The live services mode is intended more if you want to start later on, once some real data is in, so that you can actually start seeing ratings changes and standings getting updated.

I plan to update ratings in my current game at the end of each baseball month

Matt, can you please explain how to accomplish an update to a game that has already started?

When I started a new Standard Game, I checked the box for Live Update. You mentioned various options - what are they?

go to league settings, there is a new button to update ratings

So, if I "update player ratings using live stats" for my current MLB game, will it reset all the player stats to 0 since the real MLB season hasn't started?

I do not think that is designed to update stats mid game. That would not make any sense.

From what I understand, it will update the ratings based on the current real mlb/milb stats but leave the game as is (except ratings).

If you want to update ratings and standings for a particular date. you can start a new game for that.

The button doesnt work at the moment anyway. I do not think this function will be active until just after OD.

Well technically opening day already occurred on March 20th when the Mariners beat the Athletics

It does work but not all Transactions have been updated because some of the recent Trades only one of the guys shows up on new team from Trade.

You need to manually update the ratings with the live services game. You can click the button to update whenever you want.

One more question. With the "Live Services" update. Hypothetically lets say...midway through the 2019 MLB season Didi Gregorious is traded from the Yankees to the Dodgers. If I started my OOTP season with "Live Services" following that real life transaction would Didi now be on the Dodgers automatically?

I believe starting a new game would have it updated but not a game already started.
