great name, poor player

too bad... noe hopez, what a closer name, if there was one. any pitcher i guess...

just saw a jim maga and ... ugh there was another one in the last draft pool where you read it and it can't be coincidence, but likely is... more akin to the no hope than maga reference. maga is likely a real name, eh?

In a quick Google search, I found several men named "James Maga".

The world is running out of names. A friend has a granddaughter with an implausible name invented by her mother. A few years ago, she discovered that another girl with exactly the same implausible name lived only a few miles away (and had gotten into trouble with the police, nearly leading to my friend's granddaughter's arrest by virtue of mistaken identity).

i would figure maga is hispanic or latin roots?

ugh i haven't run into the one that almost certainly was made with the intent they were combined at some point randomly... lol, the names portion is supplemented by volunteers, right? a little fun easter egg someone injected isn't improbably at all. that type of antic is common.

i didn't think maga was one of those examples.

i knew of.. did not know.. twins named dejuan and deodajuan. spelling could be off on that second juan... the other juan, lol... why would you do that to a child?

having weird names does hurt your chances of emplyment. that stuff is mostly superficially choosen. just like a pretty person is more likely to get help on the side of the road. a pretty person is more likely to be hired.. part of "pretty" in this context is fitting in -- like a name that isn't odd.

just to be clear -- that's superficial nonsense that is culturally constructed, and not my personal opinion on the matter. to judge someoen on anything but their behaviour is silly and irrational.
