Quits to Windows on league startup

I'm trying to create a new fictional league, everytime i hit the "create game" button it starts loading and then quits to windows during 'OSA Scouting'

tried all the fixes mentioned elsewhere and nothing, beyond frustrated as i never had issues like this with past years' games.

going to play something that works...
