Question Can someone ELI5 Perfect Barry Bonds' platoon splits

Like most of you I like looking at the stats of cool cards in my league that I don't own. When I saw his platoon stats I through they looked a little too exaggerated. So, I went to baseball reference to see his actual platoon splits for that year and he hit

.363/.592/.719 vs RHP, so far so good.

and a whopping .384/.556/.976 vs LHP.

I could see his eye being rated as an 80 vs LHP but I don't see how his contact could be any lower than 90 and his power any lower than 99.

There are a few other cards that I've seen that look a little too pronounced, but this one is the one that stuck out most to me.

Good question. He put up a 1.5 OPS vs lefties that year, which is just insane.

Still jealous of that card though! He is the last missing piece on my all-Giants team, but I don't think I will ever be able to afford him.

Has it been discussed (or answered by Devs) as to how much effort was put into making the splits correct or if the game engine created them?

I have checked a lot of cards against Baseball Reference and the splits seem to be accurate vs. the stats as opposed to game-generated. Don't know about the Bonds above.

It almost looks like his vs LHP splits were generated using his real-life batting average as his in-game OBP and his actual OBP as his in-game slugging.

First two people I could think of with reverse splits (Puig and Paxton) both were represented correctly. So yes it looks like they did edit the splits. Kudos to the develoopers and people that assisted in creating the players.

The vast majority of cards look correct. They've done a really good job with that. This one just looks like a mistake. I know if sounds silly to suggest a 100 overall cards needs adjusted, but it's way off and it's kind of weird to see a 2002 Bonds being used in platoons.
