Wild Card play in game

Why don't you get credit for a playoff appearance when you make the play in game? It's considered a post season appearance according to major league baseball.

Are you referring to the tie-breaker to get into the Wild Card, Game 163?

It can technically still be "post-season" aka after the end of the 162 game regular season, but that does not mean its the "playoffs" (which is the wildcard round onwards, not any pre-wildcard round tie breakers) - would be my understanding.

It's not technically part of the "post-season" though, it counts as part of the regular season in the standings and statistics.

Well there you go. I just meant it could be referred to as "post-season", as in after the regular season ends, but that doesnt mean its the playoffs. But regardless, i think you answered the OP question if its part of regular season anyways. He was saying it wasnt in his initial post. In either case, we both agree its not part of the "playoffs".

When you make the WC round doesn't that constitute the playoffs?

My team made the WC round and unfortunately crapped the bed, especially when I had a lead heading into the final weekend but lost all 3 to drop the WC play in game to see who went to the divisional round. I should get credit for a playoff appearance as a WC team even though I lost.

That's correct, you should get 1000 PP for being a WC team, no matter if you win the WC game or lose it. I've attached a screenshot showing the "going to the playoffs" achievement.

If you're talking about the team history page, check tomorrow and it should show up.
