Promotion Requirements
My team in a bronze league made the playoffs and lost the wildcard game last season (season 5). I assumed that would be enough to be promoted to silver but upon checking this morning that is not the case. Are there specific requirements to move up a league, ie the top 4/6/8 teams in a league get get promoted? Is it based on how ALL bronze teams across ALL leagues perform?
Thanks |

At the beginning I think more teams were promoted just as a means to rush all of the levels being filled. Now that there are enough teams at the different levels they may have reduced the number of promotions. |

It's listed on the universe tab. During the first few weeks, as we were filling up the levels, more teams got promoted each week. Now that levels are more stable, we don't promote as many.
This week, for example, it's 4 from Diamond, 6 from Gold, 8 from Silver, and 6 from Bronze that get promoted (with bottom 4 from perfect/diamond/gold getting demoted, and bottom-2 from silver). So, for Diamond to get promoted, it will be the 4 LCS competitors that move on. From Silver, it will be the 8 DS competitors (ie. division winners + WC winners) that move on. From Gold/Bronze top 6 means the 4 LCS competitors, plus the best 2 regular season records from the 4 DS losers will get promoted. So in general, a wildcard loss is not enough to move up. Better luck this week! |
