WS Rewards / non-PP Rewards

Any plans to offer a bit more in the way of rewards for winning titles in v20? I worked my way up to Perfect then won one of the inaugural Perfect League championships and my reward was 1,000 PP. That's a bit underwhelming. I don't think you necessarily need to hand out more PP (though something like 5-10K PP or a gold pack seems more fitting for a championship). I'd like to see some unique rewards for winning championships as well as other achievements. A few weeks ago I offered the suggestion of creating a "World Series MVP" card set that can only be drawn from if you win a championship. Each title gets you one random card from the set. Maybe the odds of getting better cards could increase as the league level increases. More generally, it would be great to see more non-PP rewards elsewhere. Maybe a 56-game hitting streak could get you a special 1941 DiMaggio or back-to-back no-hitters could get you a 1938 Johnny Vander Meer, hitting 50+ HR with a player could get a draw from a set of players that have hit 50+ historically, etc..These unique/rare cards would be nice for collectors in addition to potentially being useful on the field.

Everything you mentioned is a "rich get richer" scenario. The model is already giving way more points to winning teams, so skewing it more doesn't make sense.

In OOTP 20, when they introduce tournies, a Tournament of Champions seems like an obvious option. Rewards like that make more sense then extra points and exclusive cards.

If you don't want the "rich to get richer," then you should be advocating to get rid of the achievement-for-PP model altogether. Presumably these championship tournaments would come with nice rewards, so the rich would get richer either way. Also, plenty of mediocre teams win titles in lower levels and would then have access to the same unique cards, etc. as the teams in the upper levels. In fact, maybe the best way for a lower-level F2P team to get rich quick might be to win a lower-league title, get a nice, rare World Series MVP card (using my suggestion from earlier), then sell if at auction (though I wouldn't be surprised if any unique cards introduced in the future are non-auctionable).

I think its actually the opposite. You said it yourself, the current model basically ONLY rewards doing well and having your players perform at high levels without any creativity in the reward system. This is a recipe for the rich getting richer.

If there was more diversity in the reward system and the achivements then people that were playing more thematically or with less stellar players could benefit from cool rewards as well.

For instance and just off the top of my head there could be special cards/packs/points rewarded for:

- Hitting a HR off a perfect pitcher with a bronze player
- Duplicating historical achievements with specific players cards that did them
- Beating a team with a much higher average card rating
- Winning a game with one of every card type
- Hitting a home run off a pitcher who was dead before the player was born

I´m sure the devs/community could come up with way more and way betters ones. Again, that was just a quick off the cuff example of what I mean. I think achievements like these would do the exact opposite of make the rich richer but would rather reward people for things other than just winning and beating the crap out of people.
