US Federation: Points Based Promotion/Relegation

The US Federation is proud to announce its opening! To my knowledge, we will be the only 'points based' promotion/relegation league on the net. This is a league that I ran back in v11/12 before the game allowed Pro/Rel. 3 tiers of leagues (8 teams each) across the US make up the Federation universe.

We use each 3 game series as a sort of 'fixture' to award points. These points are how we create our standings and are explained in the primer. That league primer was created to give you the quick facts about the league. Its a different league and strategy, but it makes you manage in different ways than your used to! We use a custom statslab standings app that figures our points based on our rules.

The website offers much more in depth information. There are also tier cup competitions as well as a Federation wide cup. All these are simmed mid week with tier matchups on Fri/Sat/Sun.

Settings:
Reserve Roster
Communication: Slack and Forums

DH: Off
Scouting: Off
Coaching: Off
Overall and potential overall ratings: On
Other rating scale: 1-10

Sim schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri, (1 week: one weekend series + any mid week cup matches that might be scheduled)

Still not sure? Wonder about its commish? Well, my first version of this game came in the mail! Version 2. I've been using this software to run leagues ever since.

This league in particular? Yep, it ran in V11-14 I believe. Its a great concept and works great.

I read the thread without looking at the OP and thought, man this seems like a large undertaking but when I paid enough attention to see it was Cooley, I realized it made sense. It's been a good many years but I remember back in the day there were few on par with CooleyVol when it came to creating and setting up an online league!

Thanks, LL. This league was run in v11-14, so the concept has been on an external drive for years. Its done and 'undertaken'. Just waiting on the last 7 to decide they're ready to join.
