Same player, different ratings
I play with 2 teams.
I have G Polanco on both teams. Ironically, he has different ratings. The position ratings for LF is different (36 and 70) Last edited by RoteLaterne; 01-04-2019 at 06:44 AM. |

They are identical but the second one has been trained to play LF. Players retain their defensive ratings once they achieve them.

Yep, you can take a 2B and train them to play 1B and they will start with no rating, go to a 20, and then go up from there, probably up to like a 75 or so.

Almost every player is fully trained in the positions that have default ratings. After about 1.5 seasons at a new position, they should reach their peak there, which can often be higher than their original position. A CF will almost definitely be higher ranked at RF or LF. SS->2B and 3B->1B almost always are improvements, too, and depending on the individual ratings, there are other improvements in the infield as well.
