Exclamation Update on the Update

I am still working on the update and making good progress. I hope to get it ready for testing next Monday, so it should be released late next week.

It'll fix all the reported bugs and add some new features, and the trade AI will be far better.

PS: There will be some nice little surprises in there as well

Markus,

Make sure you don't forget that online owners can't view demands in v5 as they could in v4.

Just view them, not make offers..............password protect that.

Is the financial coefficient included in this update?

Or is that something that is being kept under wraps?

I wish real baseball could be patched and fixed as well as OOTP.

I don't think that is in this patch, I could be wrong but no talk of it.

You know when you have the player editor on, and you go to change a players name or anything for that matter, and when you hit the button, the whole text field is highlighted and you have to erase EVERYTHING in the box just to fix a mistyped letter in the last position of a word. ya, i hate that. and run on sentences.

why are the form controls for this game so archaic? I feel like im playing a game built in pascal.

viva la browse button!

This company needs proven IA. (information architect). this game could sorely use someone who knows how to manage the layout of things. soo much wasted space. sooo much clicking. so many things i see that could be improved just on the interface alone.

Well, what this 'company' really needs is all these guys in one building, a information architect , maybe a project manager, a designer, and a bunch of backing. then well have something that will make Sega, 3do, EA, and Acclaim sweat.

an easier way to make players in general would be nice. Last night, i noticed Ken Cloude wasnt included in GForces rosters, so i created him... what a weird process (and process is used very loosely). Why cant i just create a player, instead of editing a randomly generated player?

Seems like when someone wants to create a player, its not going to be a fictional one. Why isnt there a 'create a player' form, that has fields for all his batting/pitching stats, bio, ratings. You fill in the stats, it creates the player. pretty simple.

Also, it be nice if we could set the number of AB's the stats are based off of. 550 is ok for vets, but any newcomer you end up just multiplying the ab's/stats till they equal 550 ab's worth. seems like ootp should be able to handle this for us.
