Perfect Leagues?

How many are there? They are not listed in the honeycomb structure thingy on the Universe Screen. Also, my league only has 18 teams total. Is this normal?

Hmm, seems to be a display bug in that screen. Will check!

Edit: Yes, it's a display bug. We have 10 Perfect Leagues.

Regarding 18 teams, yes that can happen when you are at the "edge" of a level.

To prevent those "edges" you could fill those edge league(s) with wildcards from a league level below.

Then we'd have these edges below... there is no way around that.

Why not just adjust all the perfect leagues so that some are 28 or 26 teams or whatever instead of 9 30 team leagues and one 18 team league? We have a conference with only 8 teams total. Seems a bit odd.

There should only be edges at the bronze level. Even these edges could be filled, with "house" teams, provided no more than one "house" team per league. I would dislike being in a league with less than 30.

I understand being in a league with less than 30 if the numbers work out so there are not an exact multiple. But if there are 10 leagues there is just no reason to have one with only 18.

I like the wildcards idea. Instead of dividing available players by 30, they should be divided by 29 and one wild card entry added to the leagues that need it. Only at the bottom bronze level should there be a league with more or less than 30.

The only edge that can't be avoided is down in the bronze level, bc you never know how many teams are new in the entry pool. Fair enough.

But even down to the silver level, you can hand out wild cards (for bronze level teams then) to fill at least perfect, diamond, gold and silver level leagues.

But then you would have to coordinate it with the number of promotions / relegations, and these have to be the same and an even number in all leagues of the same level.

Trust me, we worked hard on the algorithm that handles the universe structure, and the way it is right now is the way we decided is best.

Will 4 teams from my 18 team league be relegated? Or do we get less teams relegated because there are less teams in the league? If the former, that hardly seems fair.

I would love it. Less teams to beat.😜
