Wondering if the following players are in PT

Hello! I built my team around the theme of the best possible players in PT to have ever worn a Texas Rangers uniform. Out of all the possible players I could find, I'm pretty sure that minus one perfect Ted Williams (first ever Rangers manager, so that's why he's on the team), I've probably got the best ones I'm going to find. However, there are still a couple of players I have yet to see even once on the AH, and am just curious if they're even in the game. Those players are the following.

- Frank Howard
- Jeff Burroughs
- Kenny Rogers (I'd positively LOVE to get Rogers to round out my pen, since I like 3 lefty options and currently only have 2)

- Eric Gagne (I think I saw him once, but I can't remember)
- Tom Henke
- Bobby Witt
- Mike Henneman (though after his performance against the Yankees, I don't think I could even look at him without barfing a little...)
- Mickey Tettleton
- Harold Baines
- Charlie Hough
- Dick Bosman
- Danny Darwin
- Darryl Hamilton

Those are the ones I can name off the top of my head that I've been kinda keeping an eye for, but have not seen even once. If anyone's seen any of them, let me know so I know to keep looking for them! Thanks!

Tom Henke is in my league, but I've not seen any of the others.

Sorry for hijacking this thread

Has anybody seen former Brewers pitchers like Ted Higuera, Mike Caldwell or Chris Bosio?

I'm assuming he's with Detroit still in his catching days? I'd actually be hopeful, since my backup catcher is Chirinos (I've seen Sundy up on the AH a few times, but his offensive numbers are just so abysmal, and I don't exactly need a defensive sub since my starter is Pudge).

Also, thanks for the link to Henke! I'd like to get him to replace Jim Kern. Kern just gives up waaaaaaaaaaaay too many walks. Bleh.

The Tettleton is on the Orioles (or at least the one I have is).

As a Rangers fan myself, I'd love to see your lineup. I intend to collect them all myself and have often wondered how I would construct a theme team since some positions are bereft of talent while others have some interesting, difficult choices.

I'm having a hard time understanding why there is no perfect ARod card. He'd be the most sought after SS.

Maybe, but ARod would have a better defensive rating.

FYI, the diamond Rangers Arod will get to 103 D at 1B, one of the best in the game. Probably can find better hitting 1B, but hard to beat his elite hitting + ultra-elite D. He may become one of the most sought after 1B once more people learn about his 103.

SURE!!!! =D This is my full 25-man roster.

Lineup :

1B : Will Clark
2B : Toby Harrah (Julio Franco vs. lefties)

3B : Buddy Bell (plays 1B vs. lefties, Adrian Beltre starts at 3B vs. lefties)
SS : Alex Rodriguez (HAS - 2003)
C : Ivan Rodriguez (Robinson Chirinos vs. lefties)

LF : Josh Hamilton (Juan Gonzalez vs. lefties)
CF : Lance Berkman (highest rated CFer on my squad, so...)
RF : Ruben Sierra (Jose Canseco vs. lefties)
DH : Ted Williams (RS...I wish I had the RB version, but that's like $200 or fool's luck to get. Sierra DHes vs. lefties)

Rotation :

1. Kevin Brown
2. Cliff Lee
3. Bert Blyleven
4. Frank Tanana
5. Fergie Jenkins

Bullpen :

CL : Rob Nenn
SU : Jake Diekman
SU : Joe Nathan
MR : Alex Claudio
MR : Jim Kern (this is the one I'd love to replace the most, either with Henke or Rogers if there's a version of him out there that's rated well enough)
LR : Nolan Ryan (yes...The Express is in my bullpen...)

The grand total is currently 7 platinums, three silvers, and the rest are golds. Ted Williams is on my team because he was the first ever Rangers manager, then retired for good from baseball after they went a second straight season of 62-100. Sierra starts over Canseco, despite ratings, because he's a switch hitter (Canseco is rated 89, Sierra 80). The most convoluted position is the outfield, since I had to fit six on my roster and have on my reserves roster Sammy Sosa and Vlad Guerrero. I went with Franco over Ian Kinsler (HAS : 2008) because of his infield utility in his career. He's my reserve 1B for Clark, 2B of course, and SS for A-Rod (all three positions he played in his career). So far I've gotten his 1B rating to 39 and his SS rating to 19. Gonzalez also has played some games at CF, as well as Hamilton (both played CF early in their careers). However, because Hamilton has CF on his card at a 9, he doesn't gain rating, so I've recently swapped him out for Berkman (he has CF on his card of 26). Since a LOT of my roster has pretty high base stealing ability (despite them having below average speed in most cases), my team's strategy is higher on swiping bags. However, it doesn't tend to work out that way since my team has led the league in homers three straight seasons (in two of those the whole league). Certainly feels just like a typical Texas team in that regard.

What do you think? =D

I wish they would add in a card catalog that would let you see every card that is included in PT. And then maybe you could use a button or link to see if that card is available for auction.
I could spend hours browsing historical player cards just to see if some of my semi famous historical players I have read about are available as cards.

Sorry, but I'd never ever play ARoid, no matter how his ratings would be

Yes. That was a complete mistake by the Yankees. ARod had excellent range with the Mariners and Rangers. Jeter should have moved, not ARod.

After some luck on the AH on a few guys, this is my current roster.

1B : Will Clark (87 rating)
2B : Jim Fregosi (90 rating)
3B : Buddy Bell (88 rating)
SS : Alex Rodriguez (95 rating)
C : Mickey Tettleton (85 rating)
LF : Josh Hamilton (84 rating)
CF : Lance Berkman (91 rating)
RF : Sammy Sosa (94 rating)
DH : Ted Williams (96 rating)

Bench : Adrian Beltre (86 rating), Dickie Thon (83 rating), Jose Canseco (89 rating), Andruw Jones (88 rating), Ivan Rodriguez (82 rating)

Rotation : Kevin Brown (96 rating), Nolan Ryan (95 rating), Bert Blyleven (93 rating), Tim Lincecum (93 rating), Cliff Lee (91 rating)

Bullpen : Robb Nen (91 rating), Goose Gossage (91 rating), Joe Nathan (90 rating), Koji Uehara (90 rating), Frank Tanana (88 rating), Fergie Jenkins (89 rating)

I did see Eric Gagne up on the AH once, and he's rated a 95, but I didn't want to spend the funds for what he was up for (he was up for nearly 80k). Perfect Ted Williams is out of the question unless I somehow manage to get him from a player pack (he's up from time to time on the AH for nearly 750k). At this point, unless I decide to fudge my rule a step further and include players who've worked for the organization rather than players who've worn the uniform (which would give me Greg Maddux), I don't really see much change happening to my roster unless I can luck into Gagne on the AH again.

Wagner was the best defensive shortstop in both leagues for years.

I wouldn't know. I didn't get to watch and all we have to go by is errors and chances.

Which diamond ARod? 93 Historical Legend or 95 Historical All Star?

edit: Nevermind, apparently skimmed over the Rangers bit
