Post Surface Pro 6

Good Morning,

I was wondering if anybody is running OOTP on a Surface Pro. I'm getting the Surface Pro 6 for Christmas and hope I will be able to play OOTP on it.

Thanks!!

I've been running it on my core i5 8gb ram Surface Pro 4 since the game came out, and have never had a problem. The Pro 6 is supposed to be quite a bit faster since it has way newer processors, so it should run even better as long as you have one with the 8gb ram.

I have a Surface Pro 4 i7 with 16 GB of Ram and the 512 GB SSD.

OOTP runs wonderfully, the biggest issue I have had is that OOTP scales horribly to the screens native resolution.
I do not own OOTP 19 so I cannot confirm if this has been updated but my tries with OOTP 18 only led to frustration.
There is no in game scaling like some other PC games and software offer.

Instead the game scales itself to what the Windows scaling is.
Windows scaling is fine for the Windows AI but should not be used as a replacement for in game scaling options.

If it did not for OOTP 19 then OOTPD really needs to add in scaling into the game options itself.
High DPI monitors are only going to become more and more prevalent even at the desktop level as people adopt 2K and 4K monitors.

Otherwise the game runs fantastically even the 3D mode (I don't play out many games but I did try it and the Surface Intel integrated GPU runs it fine) and facegen.
The SSD makes everything fast and you can even run large universes with no issues.

The Surface Pro is always going to be for work and creative types but it is a surprising gaming machine if you work within its limits.
