Midwesterners Question

Ok I run the Northern League. It is a 12 team league based in the western midwest with teams in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouria, Iowa, Nebraska, and the Dakotas and in Winnipeg.

In the future we may want to expand, and I am not exactly sure what markets we would be able to expand into.

So here is my question if you live in any of these states which cities near you could support an independent baseball team?

Here are the cities we use already

St. Paul, Winnipeg, Fargo, Sioux Falls, Sioux City, Duluth-Superior, Kansas City, Lincoln, Schaumberg, Joliet and Gary.

Ok so what other cities could support a team and bring in anywhere from 4-6 thousand fans per game for a 45 home game schedule??

Thanks
Scott

Im also not looking for cities that currently hold other minor league teams, because I doubt that a city could support two teams of the same caliber.

Paducah, KY could feasibly be in this league and could definitely support a team.

They have no team at this time.

Their long time team from teh 20s-50s was the Chiefs.

Paduke was an Indian chief's name in the 1700s in the area.

As HolyCow98 said, Bismarck. Also, Fargo, ND. It is the biggest city in N.D., and it is also the fastest growing.

My hometown...Rochester, Minnesota.

Small town of around 100k which has supported amateur baseball for many years. Home of the Mayo Clinic and Twins prospect Michael Restovich.

Rochester had a NL team once. Maybe there could be a reintroduction. We wont really be looking to expand for a few seasons, if at all.

I have also heard that Green Bay was a considering for future NL expansion.

I live an hour east of Paducah, and I beg to differ on its name origin. Paducah was named for the sound that an airplane makes when it slams into the ground. PA - DU- KAH...!!!
