rostering auction buys - dont go to inactive

the message says the won card will go to inactive roster, instead it always goes directly to active kicking a card to reserve which would not be the one I would have selected. is there a setting i need to adjust?

I'd check under Main > Perfect Team Settings to make sure you are in control of Reserve Roster Management and Active Roster Moves. This doesn't happen to me, so I think the AI might be in control of some roster moves for you.
