Suggestions for player additions?
What about a thread where we could make a suggestion for a historical season or player that would make a good addition to the PT game? Maybe a recommendation for a one year wonder, legend, classic all-star or future legend that isn't currently available.
There's some great ones in there - like Marty Cordova, Kevin Maas and Phil Plantier and so on. But I'm wondering how a year like Brady Anderson in 1996 got overlooked so far? A career .256 hitter that averaged 19 homers a year had a .297 / 50 HR / 110R / 117RBI / 21SB in 1996. That would make for an awesome CF "one year wonder" card. Anyone else? |

Would love to have Chuck Knoblauch from his Twins days in the set.
Also some of those one-off 90s ROYs like Pat Listach. Delino DeShields from the Expos. |

Would love to see 1997 Larry Walker and 1995 Dante Bichette from their Rockies heydays.
2001 Luis Gonzalez in Arizona. Ubaldo Jimenez's one crazy 2010 Colorado season. |

Oooo Listach would be a good one. There is a Minnesota Knoblach in the Historical All-Stars I believe. Pretty good all around player. He was a beauty. |

Yeah those are great - Walker was a beast and just an all around good guy. Loved the play where he gave the kid the ball after the second out, and had to go back and reach in and take it from him when he realized what he did and the runner was on the move. |

Don't think I have seen any Tim Lincecum cards yet. Really would love to have one from his peak on my all-Giants team some day.

That was an amazing season for Walker, Coors or not. I've got an autographed ball from him that season, one of the few pieces of memorabilia I wanted to get.

Has anyone seen a Yaz card? I have not. If Captain Carl's not there I'd love his '67 Triple Crown year, Eric "the Red" Davis 1987 and maybe 1997 Raul Mondesi. Oh and for my dad Tommy Holmes from 1945.

67 Yaz should definitely be a perfect card. It was an 11 win season, one of the best seasons ever.

Is there a Hideo Nomo card?
Nomo will always have a place on my pitching staff if I ever found him. |

Can we get a legit Ken Griffey Jr. card? His PEAK card is ridiculously weak. His 1990 AS card is okay. I'd like to see an All-Time Legend, 1996, or 1997 Junior. Any of those should be a 100 OVR.

1977 of Lyman Bostock - he died tragically after four seasons, potential star
1976 cf Garry Maddox - Dubbed the "Secretary of Defense" in 1976 by Daily News columnist Bill Conlin, Maddox and his ballhawking prowess later provided inspiration for one of baseball's better known quotes: "Two-thirds of the Earth is covered by water, the other one-third by Garry Maddox." 1979 sp Joe Niekro - Phil Niekro's brother, also threw the knuckleball, in 79 finished 2nd in the cy young voting, and made the all star team. He got the win for Astros in game 163 against the Dodgers in Dodgers Stadium to lead the Astros to their first playoff birth. 1983 2b Lou Whitaker - with Trammell was the heart of some pretty good Tigers teams. 83 was his peak. Or you could do 1978 season when he won Rookie of the Year. |
