Are my pp points at risk?

Opened my starter packs last night and my two best players are Burleigh Grimes and Denny McLain. Woke up this morning and I had in the neighborhood of 3300 PP points. I'm at work now and I'm a little worried I might come home to find Denny has somehow raided my points leaving me empty handed.

What's crazy is all of the stories of cocaine use back in the 80s that I've heard since then and it seemed like only Steve Howe ever got caught. There were stories that Oil Can Boyd used to do lines between innings while he was pitching. Crazy.

A lot of players did get caught and were publicly outed. A number of big names were suspended for some time. Look up the Pittsburgh drug trials.

Steve Howe was unique in that he was both a really good player, played in a major market, and was the worst offender. He just kept getting caught over and over.

Rod Scurry was another one. He might have been even worse than Howe.

There were several dozens of players that were outed during the early 80s.

Some served suspensions, like Vida Blue, Willie Wilson, Willie Mays Aikens and Jerry Martin.

Some went to rehab, like Scurry and Lonnie Smith.

Some turned federal witness and ratted out the suppliers that provided the drugs, like Dale Berra, Keith Hernandez, Dave Parker, Enos Cabell, Scurry, Smith, and many others. These players all were granted immunity in return for testimony and never served a day in jail for their prior drug purchases and usage.

Scurry eventually paid for his drug habit with a shortened career and a shortened life.

There's a strong argument that the fact that MLB turned a blind eye to cocaine in the 80s, just as it did with "greenies"/amphetamines in the 70s, which led to the inevitable blind eye toward steroids in the 90s until it no longer could due to public perception. The lessons learned during the cocaine drug trials and fallout of the 80s didn't help MLB at all.

I know there were a lot of players outed, but none were suspended like Howe was (as many games/years). But I guess he was a special case of being a hopeless addict. I don't think anything could have saved him.
