Hey, who's got the REAL Bryce Harper?
You have to excuse me because I'm new at this. Early on, I embarrassed myself by calling attention to having two George C. Scotts on my team, offering the dumb joke that perhaps one was the actor and the other the ballplayer. Um, you can have duplicate baseball cards, Bru. Sell or trade one, you know?
![]() So, while I did a double-take here (yellow-highlighted - isn't Bryce Harper on my team?), the same phenomenon is at play, of course. It's certainly possible, perhaps common, that PT teams will have the same player cards on their rosters. But hey, who's got the REAL Bryce Harper? His Bryce is doing quite well while my Bryce stinks! You can't make this stuff up. OOTPD may be making it up, but YOU cannot make this stuff up. ![]() Good fun.

Yeah, just watch out for that right-handed hitting "Lou Gherig" (note the misspelling) card... you're better off leaving that roster spot unfilled.

Why? You don't think I got ripped off on this one too, do you?
![]() He is leading All-Star voting for CF but that could be on "rep." He doesn't seem to be performing at his career peak, does he? (Actually, I think PT is confirming a private theory that I have had about OOTPB for quite a while. I believe that, if you have really strong pitching, your batters will suffer as the game "normalizes" things so that you don't overly dominate. I believe this because I also believe that OOTPB follows the old adage of "Good pitching beats good hitting.")

Hey Bru,
Getheroff (Singapore Slammers) here...I'm in your conference. You have a great team. All the best and hopefully we can meet up in the play-offs. Good Luck! |

I am a Ranger's Fan that went to the first Ranger game ever in old Arlington Stadium and have gone to a few hundred games since then over the years. I remember how excited I was when Bob Short moved the Senators' mess to Arlington with the great Ted Williams as manager. Great hitter; terrible manager. One thing I learned over the years suffering through the years as a Ranger fan is that home runs are exciting but pitching and defense do indeed win championships,

Impressive card, I'd say. His performance improved "overnight"; now on July 4th, he's up to .284/17/53

![]() Despite all the sabermetric stuff in this game, I will continue to nurture the sneaking suspicion that, deep down in OOTPB, that is still a basic truism in this game.

My Bryce may be smiling for the public but inside he is seething and staring daggers at the other Bryce!

You're not alone, I seem to have pulled playoff Kershaw instead of regular season Kershaw. He has a 4.5 ERA through the all star break. |

But what in this game gave my opponent Monster Bryce and me Mousey Bryce? That is one of the secret formulas locked away in Markus Heinsohn's vault. ![]()
