Do players age?

I've been looking for 20 minutes and can't find the answer. The reason I ask is because when you look up the "real life stats" then the players "career batting stats" the age doesn't match up and appears to be aging by season. If the player does age, I assume his rating will also?

If i look at the stats, their age doesnt seem to move.

I had two players retire last season.... how does that happen? Is is just reserve players?

I've been wondering that, too. I was looking at one of my players earlier and thinking, "I could have sworn he was 37".

After reading this I looked and you're right - players are aging.

I don't think ratings are being affected, otherwise we'd have a riot going on right now. But there's at least a cosmetic thing. Are the years in PT not a different thing than years in a solo game which would cause a players age to go up?

We've also had some spillover where things that happen in the PT game affect your solo league - there was a bug before where a purchased player would show up on your solo team as well. If a season ticks over in a solo league, could it perhaps be adding a year to your PT players?

Did you get a message saying that? I had been thinking earlier that I thought I had a starting pitcher on my reserve squad, but I must have been mistaken. If there's no message then maybe a guy did creep away on me.

It was in the e-mail, said Team Name's Players Retiring, and it listed two people... and the players were no longer on my reserve roster.

Deff need Markus to fill in on this, do our starters risk retiring ?

Players retiring is a known issue, and is fixed. If a player retired they are now on your reserve squad

I don't remember who the two players were, so I can't check to see if they are there now or not. At the time, they were definitely gone.

They added the retired players back to the roster after they were deleted from what I read on the bug thread

I'm still not convinced. The ratings don't change, but the listed age appears to.

Or is there something neither of us understood about the screenshots?

Looks like a glitch because he is 33 for 3 seasons. Would be good if it was a confirmed glitch though

This just happens, that I see, with "live" player cards.

This is intentional. Players do not age in PT.

Edit: I just realized there is a display issue. Fixed it for the next update
