Why are you making it so hard to buy perfect points

Why?
what is esellerate?
why cant I just click a tab and buy from you?
you know like XBOX1 and Madden and NHL
I do not want to give my info to 89 (random number) different sources
and Im sick of the paltry earnings from playing games
I have money I wish to give you so please simplify the manner in which I can give it to you
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's the problem? When you use our webstore version (esellerate) we have to go this way, technically it's not possible otherwise. I do not see an issue though, you get directed to a secure webstore, you make the purchase, get a key and redeem this in the PP shop screen in OOTP. Takes one minute.

Take a deep breath and relax man Give your info to one of their outlets. If you "have money; you should already "have LifeLock."

I have downloaded the latest version yet when I click buy points it tells me that the game does not support this
then I go to try esellerate and it looks pretty fishy plus my antivirus tells me not to trust the esellerate site

There's nothing fishy, about eSellerate, honest. It's is the company we always use for purchases of the game and have used for years now. If you bought the game from us, you already used eSellerate when purchasing it.

If the game is telling you the feature isn't supported though, it's possible it didn't update correctly. If you go to the start screen, what version number does it day on the bottom of the screen?

Yeah, esellerate has that universal "this is a fishy website" design to it, I really wish they'd update their look a little bit, because it screams "don't trust". Don't blame the OP for being nervous. But to the best of my knowledge it's safe.

The shop where you buy the PP is actually by FastSpring. eSellerate is the shop we have used for years for OOTP 19.

Technically, if you're spending money on Madden on Xbox, you're redirected to the Microsoft Store to put the money on your account.

Because we do not have a shop system built on our own. This would be way too complicated, expensive and far less secure than the providers we use for our stores

I shouldn't have been so dismissive, I apologize.

What I was trying to say is that technically speaking, OOTP and Madden are set up the same way. The difference is that Madden runs on consoles, which have a single, centralized payment system, and so it can be set up to pull from that automatically. When you opt to spend money in Madden, you get sent to the Microsoft Store (on Xbox) or the PSN store (on Playstation). It actually pulls you out of the Madden game to do this; you just don't necessarily notice because it all takes place on the console - to you, it's just a pop-up.

OOTP, on the other hand, runs on computers, which means there is no centralized payment system for the entire device. And unlike a company such as, for example, Blizzard, OOTP does not have its own dedicated shop. OOTPD basically outsources their shop to another company. So when you choose to spend money in OOTP, it pulls you to that company's website.

It's functionally the exact same thing, but consoles are pre-packaged to run off of a single store, so it's not as noticeable when the game redirects you to it.

EDIT: I have not purchased PP, so I'll have to let someone else walk you through it.

Yeah, see I'm so used to seeing shop systems owned by their own companies, so when it redirects me to something else, alarm bells go off in my head. It totally makes sense not to have your own shop, but I'm just saying it's not something I'm used to.

Why can I buy your game right off of your web page but can not buy points off the same page?

1) Start OOTP, log into Perfect Team.
2) Open the Market menu, select Purchase Perfect Points.
3) Click on the Perfect Point Package you would like to buy.
4) A browser window will open, select your payment method and enter your data there.
5) When the purchase is successful, a key code is displayed (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx...), mark this with your mouse and copy it to your clipboard (Ctrl + c).
6) Return to OOTP, and in the Shop screen there is a green button. Press that, and in the dialog press Ctrl+v, which pastes the key code into the box. Hit Enter.

That will do it. If you get an error message, try again a minute later, the key code has to be activated by the system before it is usable, and that takes 1-2 minutes.

Hope this helps

You do not buy the game off our webpage, you get redirected to the eSellerate store.

It might seem frustrating (I absolutely hate the e-license system) but believe me, it is much better this way.

A small company like OOTP, running its own payment system, would be a prime and easy target for hackers. OOTP simply doesn't have the resources to secure data (such as your credit card number) like a specialized company would.

There's a similar game of a similar size (or it was a similar size once ), Baseball Mogul, that had an in-house payment system. A Malaysian hacker broke into that system and dozens of people got ripped off.

No, I don't know why those financial sites generally look so sketchy. Those companies should really put more work into their appearance. But those sites are strong behind the scenes.

If you don't like purchasing this way, maybe you should give Steam a try. Everything you do in Steam is handled by Steam, and the various processes are pretty easy for a layman to pick up.
