rare plays
I have yet to see a 'rare' play. Like 2 or more errors on one play, maybe runner not always advancing on a hit. ball hits runner etc. Does this have rare plays in its engine?

Yes, it has rare plays, but just a few different kinds.

I have seen a few rare plays over the course of the years or versions I have had OOTP.

A few plays that I have never seen -
Wild pitch runner is tagged out at home. Buckner type error. Ball goes between legs and runner on 2nd scores. tagging up 2 bases. being thrown out at home trying to get an inside the park home run. Bunt play with a runner on first. Catcher or pitcher thrown to 2nd for the lead out, middle infielder throws it away. Runner ends up on 2nd. successful steal of home. Some of these are impacted by the era in which you're playing.
If you play a deadball era league, you'll see many more steals of home and inside the park home runs than in a modern era league. This game really does do a good job of matching game play to era in my opinion. I will say, though, I've never seen someone thrown out at home on a wild pitch/passed ball. I have very rarely seen someone thrown out at 2nd trying to stretch a single into a double. |

that happens at least a couple times within a few years. Once it happened against me (was losing with 2 outs in 9th was pissed off beyond words) and another time my outfielder got him. These were the most recent for me. |

I just had an inside-the- park grand slam home run.
