I have played mostly FPS baseball my whole life and am new to oopt4 and loving it, I have a couple question though.
1) is there a way to start a custom league with real players, like say I wanted to have a league what was just the AL and NL east with real players. . . is that possible? 2) Is there a way to enter in players stastitics for an individual player and have the game generate a player with game ratings? thanks |

1) is there a way to start a custom league with real players, like say I wanted to have a league what was just the AL and NL east with real players. . . is that possible? Yes, you'll need to download the Rolen2002.lg file (Rolen's Rosters) then copy all the data files in the folder into the create directory. Now go into the game, click on create new league, select custom league and default players. You should have the players from the Rolen league file in the game. 2) Is there a way to enter in players stastitics for an individual player and have the game generate a player with game ratings? Yes, go to the Edit Free Agents Screen and create the player you want. Then click on the player and open the editor (on the player card) change the name and stuff then go to the ratings, click on the buttons and you'll have a prompt to enter normalized statistics (number per 550 AB) for the player and the game will create the ratings. Alternative method, create a Lahman Database (that style) set of .csv files with the players stats, then you can import the player into the game from the Edit Free Agents screen. thanks

Hope this helps. |
